‘You’re EVIL!’: How Holby City actor clashed with killer rapper who threw table in rage outside court before he was found guilty of killing star’s daughter, 24, with lethal drug and filming her ‘screaming’ death throes
Holby City actor John Michie confronted his tragic daughter’s rapper boyfriend and told him ‘you’re evil’ after hearing his catalogue of failures and lies laid out to jurors for the final time.
Broughton was today found guilty of manslaughter after supplying his girlfriend Louella Fletcher-Michie with the so-called party drug 2-CP before her death at the Bestival music festival in 2017.
Following his conviction today, it can be revealed that during a break in court proceedings this week, distraught father Mr Michie, 62, confronted the killer and said ‘you’re evil, evil’, in a clash that quickly turned violent.
The rapper flew into a rage, slammed his bag onto the ground, screaming ‘f**k’, before picking up a coffee table and launching it across the corridor, with two legs breaking off as it hit the wall.
Broughton then went on to attack a water cooler nearby before two policemen restrained him, as he shouted: ‘Get off me, bruv.’
Miss Fletcher-Michie’s father John Michie said outside Winchester Crown Court today: ‘Regardless of the outcome of this harrowing trial, there are never going to be any winners’
The 30-year-old drug dealer failed to get help after Miss Fletcher-Michie collapsed and even filmed her as she laid dying in an area of woodland near the Dorset festival.
Broughton – who was obsessed with images of death – had narrowly avoided a jail sentence just one month before Miss Fletcher-Michie’s tragic death.
He was hauled before a court for possession of a bladed article in public, but walked free, allowing him to head off to the event where he killed his girlfriend with drugs.
During an emotionally charged trial, it was revealed:
- Broughton narrowly avoided a jail sentence a month earlier after he appeared in court for possession of a bladed article in public.
- Miss Fletcher-Michie’s devastated parents said in they were already serving a ‘life sentence’ of grief, following their daughter’s overdose from the party drug 2C-P.
- A former girlfriend of Broughton said the rapper once filmed her bleeding from a head wound after she fell over from taking a large amount of drugs.
- Holby City star John Michie clashed with the killer rapper outside of court calling him ‘evil’ as the grime star shouted at police to ‘get off me bruv’.
- Broughton’s father Dave turned to the family and offered his sympathy following the verdict announcement.
Broughton himself showed little emotion, flippantly telling his lawyer to ‘text my mum’.
Speaking outside court, an emotional Mr Michie said: ‘Regardless of the outcome of this harrowing trial, there are never going to be any winners.
‘Our life sentence began on what would have been Louella’s 25th birthday. Ceon’s life sentence is knowing he did not help Louella to live.’
